Teaching information
I have taught mathematics and physics up to undergraduate level for several years and I am always excited to take on new students! I strongly believe in a practical approach to studying Mathematics and Physics; attempting questions and studying solutions as a method of learning has repeatedly been proven to optimise study practices. I will then aim to place a focus on choosing questions that are just outside of a student's comfort zone so that they may best extend their understanding.
An holistic approach to learning is important; having a wide and varied understanding of the topic (perhaps occasionally beyond the syllabus of the course) is integral for academic success, and I hope to supplement this by being continuously up-to-date with the current scientific literature.
I have guided students of all abilities and backgrounds and routinely helped them exceed their target grades. Lessons may range from intense 'cram' sessions the day before exams, to supplementing an education far more generally over the course of years.
